There are many ways to lose weight fast. However, most of them involve feeling hungry, tired, and generally worn-out.
For most of us, unless we have extreme willpower, the diet doesn’t last long and before you know it you’ve got your head in whatever treat passes you first.
I’ve written this article to help you get past the hunger and fatigue.
These 3 simple steps will help you:
– Avoid cravings and hunger pangs
– Provide optimum nutrition for energy
– Shed unwanted belly fat
1 – Avoid sugary snacks
Chocolates, sweets, cakes etc.
I must stress, I am talking about sugary snacks like chocolates and sweets. These products are full of simple sugars that take very little time to digest. This sends our blood sugar levels through the roof and our body has to act quickly to store the excess sugar in our fat stores – not a good place to be if you’re trying to burn fat!
Fruit is still good!
Fruits, on the other hand, don’t contain as much sugar and contain pleny of vitamins to outweigh the sugar content. I recommend you try to eat your five a day in fruit and veg.
Next time you’re hungry and in need of a snack, reach for the fruit bowl instead.
2 – Drink at least 2 litres of water every day
Water is an essential part of the body. After all, the human body is made up of around 60% water!
Water is important
Water contributes to almost every function in the body, from cooling the body and the transportation of vitamins and minerals. But most importantly, it is a critical part of the fat-burning process. The body requires water to be able to break down fat for energy.
We confuse thirst with hunger
Often we confuse the feeling of thirst with the feeling of hunger. So next time you’re hungry, grab a glass of water and sip that instead. Keep that in mind when trying to lose weight fast.
3 – Keep Moving
Tip 3 sounds relatively easy, and that’s because it is! It’s a simple distraction method for hunger with the added bonus of keeping you active and burning calories instead of consuming them.
Move every hour
Simply get up and walk around for a couple of minutes. This is a great opportunity to grab yourself a fresh glass of water. If you work in an office, change perhaps try to speak to colleagues face-face. You’re more likely to get the desired outcome from the conversation and often, it’s quicker and easier than typing an email anyway!
Walk or cycle to your destinations
If possible, it would be good if you could add more NEAT calorie expenditure to your daily calorie expenditure. Again, it’s also a great way to avoid eating out of boredom.
Summary for losing weight fast:
- Eat less sugary snacks (chocolates, sweets, cakes etc.)
- Drink 2 litres of water per day (8 glasses of water)
- Move more
