I’ve just seen a post about sweetener in Diet Coke, causing Aneurisms.
If you’re trying to lose weight, one of the first things you probably did was make the switch from ‘full fat’ drinks (loaded with sugar, not fat) to the diet variation of your preferred drink.
Before I begin, I would like to say that water always has and always will be the best drink to consume. Everybody should try to increase water consumption and decrease the consumption of ‘pop drinks’, coffee and everything else.
Now, I’ve got that off my chest, I’d like to get to the bottom of all these scare factors about sweeteners. People have said that sweeteners and diet drink cause:
• Low metabolic rate (stopping you from losing weight)
• And much, much more…
But, there have been many studies conducted that disprove these ideas. It just so happens that any and all sweeteners have to go through rigorous testing before it can be used in our food (in the UK and the EU).
Drinking Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, Fanta Zero or whatever else, is not going to kill you – there is no need to be afraid of it.

Now, I’m quite thirsty so I’m going to go have a drink of water – not because I’m scared of diet coke, but because that’s what my body wants.
