With the launch of my Belly Busters program, I thought it only fitting to provide 5 quick and easy tips that you can use right now to lose belly fat.
Shift Belly Fat Quickly
1. Cut down on alcohol
I put this at the top of the list because I think it has the biggest influence on our guts. Funnily enough, it’s been dubbed a “beer belly” but actually wine is more likely to give you a bigger beer belly. If you’re the kind of person that loves a glass of wine or a pint of lager/cider, you should try to remove these from your nights out and replace them with lighter drinks like vodka and diet coke.
2. Eat smaller portions, more frequently
If you can squeeze more meals into your day it will help you feel fuller for longer and reduce the urge to snack on the ‘bad stuff’. Sometimes, more is less.
3. Focus on your food
When you eat your food, focus on what you’re eating. It’s going to taste better, you’ll enjoy it more and when you’re full, you will know your full. So, turn the TV off, put your phone down and eat at the dining room table fully engaged with your food.
4. Cut down on the sugary drinks
This is one of the simplest tips going but I personally know that it can also be one of the hardest. Water can be such a boring drink at times but the more you drink it the more you will appreciate the benefits. It hydrates your body better, helps flush out toxins and everything else.
5. Walk 30 minutes every day
Walking more is something I try to tell everybody. I think it is by far one of the biggest factors for removing stubborn belly fat. You can burn 400 calories in the gym doing some HIIT work but if you don’t go to the gym 5 days a week, simply spending 30 minutes walking can burn 200 calories. do this every day and you could burn off half a pound a week!
